“To accompany is to hold the space for another to find their own light — not to impose mine.”
— Michela Quaglia
For a long time, I believed my role as a companion was to offer answers, provide solutions, and show others the right way. I studied and trained with the intention of helping others heal, overcome their blocks, and find happiness.
But through my own journey, I came to discover something much deeper: no one needs me to fix their life.
When I went through my own crises and dark moments, I wished someone would come and save me, tell me what to do, give me the formula to feel better. But life taught me — sometimes quite harshly — that the answers I was seeking were already inside me. No one could walk that path for me.
The Value of Holding a Space of Trust
From that personal experience, I understood that my true role as a companion is not to give solutions, but to hold a space of love and trust where the other can find their own answers.
To accompany from presence means to be there — without judgment, without expectations, without trying to impose my way of seeing life.
It’s not about guiding or controlling someone else’s process.
It’s about trusting it.
Trusting their inner rhythm.
Trusting their unique path of healing.
A Core Principle in Our Retreats
This principle is a cornerstone of the approach we carry in our inner evolution retreats, where we work with the conscious and sacred use of entheogens.
Entheogens, when used with deep respect and clear intention, can open doors to profound transformation. But it’s essential to remember: the real work isn’t done by the medicine, nor by the facilitator. It’s done by the person themselves.
Our role is to hold a loving and safe space where each participant can explore their own journey — reconnecting with their inner wisdom and personal strength.
My Own Experience
I’ve lived what it means to trust my own process. I’ve felt the temptation to look outside myself for answers — to ask someone else what to do, how to heal, how to live.
But I’ve learned that true answers only come when I allow myself to feel, to breathe, and to open my heart to my own truth.
That’s why today I accompany others from a place of presence, of humility, and of certainty that each of us already holds everything we need inside.
I’m not here to fix anyone’s life.
I’m here to hold, to accompany, and to remember — again and again — that the real journey is inward.
Entheogens and the Inner Journey
In our retreats, we use entheogens in a sacred and conscious way. They are not there to fix people either. They are not magic pills. They are invitations — gentle but powerful ones — to listen inwardly, to remember.
That’s why the way we hold space matters just as much as the medicine itself.
Because if we interrupt that process with advice, suggestions, or interpretations, we may dilute the most potent teacher in the room: silence.
In Conclusion
To accompany is not to save or to change someone.
It is to trust.
It is to love.
And it is to be present.
And in that presence, the other begins to discover their own light, their strength, and their truth.
In our retreats, this principle guides every step we take. We believe in the power of holding an authentic and respectful space, where each person can find their own way — without being told who to be.
Because life doesn’t need to be fixed.
It just needs to be embraced.”
